Why introduce one skin care product at a time
Adding one product at a time makes benefit and irritation easier to identify. Keep the rest of the routine stable, follow the current label, and stop for persistent burning, swelling, blistering, or hives.
Read the current label
Check ingredients, intended use, directions, and warnings on the package you have. Formulas and claims can change, so an old listing is not the source of truth.
Keep the routine stable
Change one variable at a time. A small-area test can reduce the area exposed but cannot guarantee that a reaction will never occur.
Safety limits
Trouble breathing, faintness, or rapid swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat can be an emergency. Seek urgent medical help instead of testing the product again.
